So many remarkable timepieces made their debut last week, two brands captured my attention: Bulgari and Vacheron Constantin—names that need no introduction.

Bvlgari’s Grand Debut at Watches & Wonders 2025

For the first time, Bvlgari participates in Watches & Wonders, marking a significant milestone in its watchmaking journey. Its presence at the event underscores its dual identity as a Roman Jeweler and a Swiss Watchmaker, showcasing its rich heritage and unwavering innovation. The spotlight of Bvlgari’s debut is the unveiling of two groundbreaking timepieces. The Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon sets a 10th world record for ultra-thin watchmaking, reaffirming its status as an icon of the 21st century. Meanwhile, the Serpenti Aeterna reinterprets the brand’s legendary serpent motif in a bold, forward-looking jewelry creation.

CEO Jean-Christophe Babin stresses Bvlgari’s decade-long leadership in watchmaking, blending Swiss innovation with Italian creativity. As the Maison celebrates 25 years under LVMH, it continues to push the boundaries of design and fine watchmaking.

Bvlgari’s exhibition space at Watches & Wonders immerses visitors in its Roman heritage and contemporary vision. With an architecture inspired by the Razionalista Roman style and seven curated showcases, the display narrates the brand’s journey through its most iconic creations.

BVLGARI Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon

Beyond achieving a new record in ultra-thin watchmaking, the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon serves as a ‘Genuine Statement’ of innovation. By seamlessly integrating a skeleton tourbillon into a movement housed within a mind-boggling slim 1.85 mm case, Bvlgari’s Swiss watchmaking division displays its mastery of horology through one of the craft’s most iconic complications….the Tourbillon, which symbolizes watchmaking precision, its perpetual motion echoing a beating heart.

Bvlgari pushes the boundaries of skeletonisation with this beautiful timepiece, maximizing light diffusion through the movement with refined modern finishes. Every exposed component strikes a fine balance between aesthetics and precision, demanding absolute perfection in design and execution. Its monochromatic grey aesthetic incorporates purity and minimalism, elevating ultra-thinness to a watchmaking complication in itself.

Now officially the thinnest tourbillon Watch ever, this Masterpiece measures just 1.85 mm thick with a 40 mm diameter. Powered by the BVF 900 calibre, it beats at 4 Hz and offers a 42-hour power reserve, a testament to Bvlgari’s engineering excellence.

At the heart of the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon lies a tungsten carbide main plate, seamlessly integrating the mechanical movement into the case, challenging traditional watchmaking norms. Historically, ultra-thin watches are always pursued for elegance, but achieving structural rigidity at such dimensions required groundbreaking material innovation. Bvlgari’s solution combines microbead-frosted titanium for the bezel, case middle, and lugs, with tungsten carbide for the main plate. Two subtly protruding stainless steel Planar ‘Crowns’—one for winding (8 o’clock) and one for setting the time (3 o’clock)—enhance functionality, while the circular-grained steel ratchet features geometric engravings. Unlike its predecessors, this model integrates rhodium-plated hour and minute hands on a single sandblasted brass dial with a DLC anthracite coating for optimal legibility.

Completing the design, the ultra-thin titanium bracelet, measuring just 1.5mm, mirrors the watch’s refined aesthetic, achieving a seamless balance between complexity and elegance.

The iconic Serpenti enters a new era with its boldest evolution yet: Aeterna. In 2025, the Year of the Snake, as per the Chinese Calendar, Bvlgari unveils Serpenti Aeterna, a bold high-jewelry transformation of its iconic serpent. Diamonds set over Gold enhance its radiant allure, embodying Bvlgari’s Italian elegance and pioneering spirit. It seamlessly blends heritage with modernity. Without the eyes, scales, and ruse, it is reduced to its purest, mesmerizingly authoritative form. It is crafted from Gold and artistically set with diamonds.

Since 1948, Serpenti has constantly evolved. A timeless icon, it seduces, enchants, and captivates, continuing to inspire desire through its ever-changing glamour.

Founded in 1755 during the Age of Enlightenment, Vacheron Constantin has upheld a steadfast dedication to excellence for 270 years. This pursuit is reflected in its mastery of watchmaking, from technical innovations and precision craftsmanship to artistic beauty and the preservation of traditional skills.

In 2025, the Maison celebrates this legacy with a new communication campaign, visually capturing its ongoing journey for perfection. Musician Woodkid has composed a special piece dedicated to this quest. Additionally, Time is Art, a coffee-table book published in collaboration with Thames & Hudson, showcases the Maison’s artistry through the lens of four photographers. This exclusive book will be unveiled at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025, marking another milestone in Vacheron Constantin’s extraordinary journey.

At Watches & Wonders 2025, Vacheron Constantin once again reaffirms its place at the pinnacle of haute horlogerie. With over two and a half centuries of uninterrupted craftsmanship, the Maison continues to blend heritage and innovation, unveiling timepieces that embody the essence of refinement, precision, and artistry.

This year, in celebration of its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin presents special Signature Editions of its iconic Patrimony and Traditionnelle collections—exquisite expressions of timeless elegance and watchmaking mastery. Each creation is a reflection of the brand’s unwavering pursuit of excellence, where tradition meets modernity, and time itself becomes an expression of artistry.

Arriving at the Vacheron Constantin booth, a stunning array of timepieces awaited—each uniquely designed, many paying tribute to the 270th anniversary. Crafted exclusively in Platinum, White Gold, or Pink Gold, these watches house newly developed in-house calibres, reinforcing the Maison’s unmatched expertise. While numerous models stood out, three in particular captured my attention, and I’d like to highlight them.

Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date

A coveted treasure among Haute Horlogerie connoisseurs, the Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date is available in 270-piece limited editions in both White gold and Pink gold. Powered by the self-winding manufacture Calibre 2460 R31L/270, it offers a 40-hour power reserve and displays the exquisite ‘côte unique’ finish along with an openworked 18K gold oscillating weight featuring the Maltese cross—visible through the sapphire caseback of its 42.5 mm case.

The silver-toned dial, adorned with the 270th anniversary motif, presents a beautifully balanced design: the retrograde date display—a Vacheron Constantin signature since the 18th century—sits elegantly at the top, while the moon-phase complication takes its place at six o’clock, housed within an aperture graduated from 0 to 29.5. Engineered for remarkable precision, this astronomical moon phase follows the Moon’s 29-day, 12-hour, and 45-minute cycle, requiring adjustment only once every 122 years—a demonstration to both tradition and technical mastery.

Traditionnelle Moon Phase 36mm

A captivating blend of elegance and precision, the Traditionnelle Moon Phase is poised to be a favorite among women, thanks to its refined Pink Gold case adorned with Diamonds and inherently graceful aesthetic. This 36 mm manual-wound timepiece, part of a 270-piece limited edition, is powered by the manufacture Calibre 1410 AS/270. Its astronomical moon phase complication, accurate to one day every 122 years, reflects the passage of time with poetic precision. The Mother-of-Pearl dial, featuring the 270th anniversary motif, is neatly complemented by small seconds at 6 o’clock and a 38-hour power reserve display.

With its delicate yet sophisticated appeal, this timepiece embodies the artistry and heritage of Vacheron Constantin.

Traditionnelle Manual-Winding 33mm

Another true masterpiece of elegance and refinement, the Traditionnelle Manual-Winding 33mm is destined to enchant women with its graceful 33 mm pink gold case, delicately set with diamonds. Its ultra-slim profile, measuring just 7.7 mm in thickness, enhances its sophisticated appeal. At the heart of this 270-piece limited edition beats the manufacture Calibre 1440/270, offering a 42-hour power reserve and adorned with the ‘côte unique’ finish and anniversary emblem. The Mother-of-Pearl dial, graced with the Maltese cross-inspired motif created for Vacheron Constantin’s 270th anniversary, exudes a soft pink hue, perfectly complemented by a pink alligator strap—a harmonious blend of heritage, artistry, and timeless femininity.

Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Openface

The Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Openface fuses heritage and modernity in a striking contemporary design. Its openface construction showcases the intricate mechanics within, celebrating both technical mastery and aesthetic refinement. A signature of Vacheron Constantin’s craftsmanship, this timepiece features a harmonious interplay of traditional and modern finishes across the dial, calibre, and strap. Crafted from Platinum, often referred to as the metal of kings, it holds a revered place in prestige watchmaking, symbolizing ultimate refinement.

At its heart beats the manufacture Calibre 2460 QCL/270, a modern evolution of the Calibre 2450—Vacheron Constantin’s first entirely in-house self-winding complete calendar movement. This sophisticated calibre drives a triple calendar complication, displaying the day, date, and month, along with a precision moon-phase indicator that requires adjustment only once every 122 years. The partially openworked dial offers a glimpse into its 312-component self-winding mechanism, balancing transparency with clarity. For optimal legibility, the date is elegantly arranged around the dial’s periphery, indicated by a blued hand, while the day and month appear on sapphire discs, standing out vividly against the deep blue apertures—a perfect fusion of functionality and artistry.

This Piece is a true mechanical Masterpiece.

The beauty of Geneva Watch Days lay in its decentralized nature, allowing each Maison to craft its own unique experience across the city, whether in luxurious boutiques or charming hotels. Yet, the heart of it all remained the common pavilion at Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, where more than 100 extraordinary timepieces from 52 participating brands awaited discovery.

This was not just an exhibition; it was a celebration of high horology in a laid-back, festive atmosphere, where simplicity met elegance, and the passion for fine watchmaking shone through. With free access, Geneva Watch Days invited everyone—from seasoned collectors to curious newcomers—to immerse themselves in the world of exceptional timepieces and to connect with the stories behind the brands.

Brands introduced a range of captivating designs, from innovative new models to those honoring tradition. Here are some of the standout pieces that we believe are a must look for any watch enthusiast :

Breitling

Breitling marked its “140 Years of Firsts” with a groundbreaking release: perpetual calendar chronograph movement. To celebrate, the brand introduced limited 140th-anniversary editions of its iconic models — Premier, Navitimer, and Chronomat—all powered by the innovative Caliber B19. This movement offered unmatched precision for an entire century with minimal adjustments and boasted an impressive 96-hour power reserve. We love this watch because it powers through four days straight without needing a single wind.

Favre Leuba

Favre Leuba made a triumphant return, celebrating 287 years of horological mastery. The brand unveiled three new collections, comprising 22 fresh designs, to mark this momentous occasion. The Chief Collection was completely revamped, blending its signature vintage elements with a contemporary twist. The Chief Chronograph, a standout piece, retained the classic ‘70s design, refreshed with a sporty, modern edge, highlighted by its retro-inspired cushion shaped case. It’s such a stand-out piece, one instantly falls in love with it.

Bvlgari

Bvlgari redefined men’s watchmaking with its Octo series, merging tradition with a contemporary vision. Renowned for their expertise in horological acoustics, Bvlgari impressed once again with the Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon and Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon minute repeater. These timepieces were inspired by the “tritone,” a musical interval that resonated with musicians, drawing creative cues from Lorenzo Viotti, the conductor of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.

Konstantin Chaykin

Konstantin Chaykin made waves at the Geneva Watch Days 2024 with his latest creation—the ThinKing. At just 1.65 mm thick, it was the slimmest mechanical wristwatch ever made. This marvel was part of the “Wristmons” collection, featuring a joker-inspired dial with “eye” indicators for hours and minutes. ThinKing captured the attention of experts and the press alike, earning accolades from top global publications.

HYT

HYT’s Millésime Edition introduced bold new colors—Purple, Green, and Chocolate—adding a fresh, modern twist to its lineup. Launched in the fall, the T1 Series stood out with its sleek 45mm diameter and vertical grain satin-finished dial. Each hue was enhanced by HYT’s signature fluidic time displays, with vibrant red fluid for the green and chocolate models, and a striking black for the purple. Case options included titanium, DLC titanium, and 5N gold.

Oris

Oris became the Official Timekeeper for France’s Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Ligue 2 BKT, in collaboration with the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP). To celebrate, Oris launched the LFP Limited Edition Divers Sixty-Five, a tribute to the “Les Défenseurs de l’Enfance” football tournament, which supported children and CNAPE-backed charities. The watch featured playful, childlike script, a blue dial symbolizing the UN’s 17th goal, and a stainless steel case back engraved with the tournament’s logo. We appreciate the initiative and their drive for change. Their commitment to both craftsmanship and community truly sets them apart.

Angelus

Angelus introduced the Chronodate Titanium Magnetic Silver edition—a watch where grey reigned supreme. The titanium case and sunray-brushed “Magnetic Silver” dial created a monochromatic masterpiece, accentuated by deep black and a touch of red. This ultra-sporty and refined color scheme drew the eye, holding it in a captivating gaze.

De Bethune

De Bethune’s DB28xs Aérolite was a stunning fusion of art and science. The dial featured a unique guilloché pattern, offset by the geometric lines of Muonionalusta meteorite. This timepiece merged elements from the DB28xs Starry Seas and DB28XP Météorite models, pushing the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking. Encased in a 38.7 mm black matte zirconium case with a blue meteorite dial, it symbolized the union of earth and sky, craftsmanship and innovation.

MB&F

MB&F presented the M.A.D.1S, a sleek evolution of its popular M.A.D.1 model. The “S” signified a slimmer profile, with a case just 15mm thick, housing a new Swiss movement—the La Joux-Perret G101. The streamlined design featured refined lugs and an updated winding rotor. While the case retained its 42mm diameter, the thinner

Czapek & Cie

Czapek & Cie took its Antarctique collection to new heights with the Antarctique Polar Sky and Antarctique S Polar Sky models. These stunning timepieces featured aventurine glass dials, available in 40.5mm and 38.5mm sizes. For those craving extra luxury, the Antarctique Flying Diamonds and Antarctique S Flying Diamonds models came with diamond-set indexes and optional diamond-encrusted cases and bracelets. The Antarctique cut diamonds, with their 24 facets, amplified the dials’ brilliance. Limited to just 99, 77, 8, and 18 pieces. With such limited availability, these extraordinary pieces are sure to disappear quickly !

As Geneva Watch Days 2024 wrapped up, it was clear that the event was more than just a display of fine watches—it was a celebration of passion, creativity, and craftmanship. The timepieces showcased weren’t just marvels of engineering; they were stories waiting to be worn. The enchanting Monete Catene secret watches are a timeless fusion of Bvlgari’s fine artistry and the inspiration from the Gemme Nummarie concept introduced by Nicola Bulgari in the mid 60s. These watches are a captivating embodiment of Bulgari’s craftsmanship, where historical treasures take centre stage, transforming the watch cases into sculptural marvels. Crafted from luxurious gold and adorned with the sparkle of diamonds, these high jewellery timepieces gracefully drape around the wrist. The gorgeous Monete Catene High Jewelry Secret Watch is crafted with lustrous rose gold and is set with dazzling diamonds. The watch conceals a mesmerising surprise. The case cover is set with a silver denarius coin featuring emperor Caracalla who reigned from 198-217 AD.

The regal Monete Catene Dual Time High Jewelry Secret Watch is bathed in rose gold, yellow gold and white gold and is also set with baguette cut diamonds and brilliant cut diamonds! A watch made for the queen, the case features a coin depicting the emperor Septimius Severus (193-211 AD) and his spouse Julia Domna (193-217 AD). Two emerald cabochons serve as pushers to open the case and reveal the dial. These watches are powered by the “Piccolissimo” Manufacture mechanical micro-movement.

The dial comprises ruthenium crystals and mother-of-pearl marquetry in a gentle graduation which showcases the night in shades of mint green, turquoise, teal and sky blue. These pleasant shades of blue are complemented by the stunning diamonds that sparkle on the bezel, horns and hour-markers. The sky above the blue, mint-green and turquoise hills features the earth’s natural satellite and hand painted stars. The timepiece showcases a grand lunar disc, gracefully adorning a vast window spanning from 10 to 2 o’clock, meticulously carved to mirror the Earth’s celestial companion, with all its enchanting phases on display.

Oris Artelier

A classy and fine piece with a smooth and round 38mm stainless steel case has been meticulously designed keeping in mind comfort and practicality. The sleek design of the watch seamlessly connects lugs to a luxurious leather strap. The hands, gently tapered and lit with a delicate lume, dance on the dial’s outer edge, offering legibility without intrusion. Speaking of the dial, you have two enchanting options: a deep black or a mature forest green. Inside the Artelier resides a Swiss Made mechanical marvel, the automatic calibre Oris 733, powered by the iconic Red Rotor, visible through a transparent case back.

This watch features an 18 kt rose gold case and bracelet set with brilliant-cut diamonds. Bvlgari has added new watches to its 2022 collections. These were unveiled at the Geneva Watch Days 2022 held earlier this month. We at JAMM couldn’t contain our excitement and so we’re here to recommend these beauties. 

1. Serpenti Seduttori (Ref. No. 103706) 

Price :- ₹ 9,90,000 Including Taxes

The first timepiece that caught our attention is the Serpenti Seduttori. If you are new to this space, Serpenti means serpent in Italian which has long been regarded as a symbol of vitality and strength across many cultures. This Serpenti Seduttori model comes in black. And how can anyone go wrong with black. A classic through history and will definitely stay the same in the future. 

What caught our attention about this piece? The case is shaped like a teardrop, while the bracelet sports hexagonal scales that truly look serpentine. It comes with a 33 mm steel case that’s treated with black DLC, a rose gold bezel that’s studded with 38 cut diamonds. The Serpenti Seduttori is also water resistant up to 30 meters. The combined aesthetics of rose gold and hexagonal shaped links on the bracelet give this model in the Serpenti Seduttori collection… and, we are all here for it! 

2. Serpenti Spiga Ceramic

Price :- ₹ 14,29,000 Including Taxes

If you have been following JAMM’s instagram page, you know how much Serpenti is loved by Indian actresses. Well, yes, the next timepiece is a variant of the Serpenti, called the Serpenti Spiga Ceramic. Continuing the colour scheme of black and rose gold, this watch wraps around the wearer’s wrist twice, truly depicting a serpent. Inspired by Greek mythology, the timepiece looks charismatic and modern. This is definitely a unique, artistic timepiece that would catch anyone’s eye. 

It comes with a 35 mm ceramic case with a rose gold bezel. Just like the Seduttori, Bvlgari’s art of gem-setting is flawlessly showcased by the bezel that’s lit up with 38 cut diamonds. The double spiral black ceramic bracelet is partially set with rose gold and 152 diamonds. It is a 340 piece limited edition.

3. Bvlgari Bvlgari-103557

The last black timepiece on our list is referred to as BB, it’s the Bvlgari Bvlgari. Its design is 4 decades old, with a round, simple and contemporary shape. Despite its seemingly old design the timepiece is completely in tune with modern times. The contemporary nature of this timepiece happens to specifically impress the younger generation. 

The Bvlgari Bvlgari has a 33 mm steel case that’s again treated with black DLC. The steel bezel is engraved with a double logo that matches the watches name. The double logo, although simple, adds uniqueness in a subtle manner. The black lacquered dial holds hand fitted indexes. 

PS. All the three timepieces- the Seprenti Seduttori, Serpenti Spiga Ceramic and the Bvlgari Bvlgari-103557 are quartz watches.
