Jaeger-LeCoultre adds three new limited edition variants to its Reverso Precious One Series

The Reverso is an iconic watch introduced in 1931 by the renowned Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre, which was founded in 1833. Known for its unique reversible case, the Reverso was originally designed for British Army officers in India who wanted a Watch that could withstand the rigors of Polo matches. The innovative design allows the case to flip over, protecting the watch face from damage.

The company has a long history of Super Horological excellence. The rich heritage of craftsmanship and innovation is reflected in the Reverso, which combines functional ingenuity with Art Deco elegance. Its clean lines and timeless design make it a perennial favorite among watch enthusiasts and collectors. The Reverso’s ability to personalize the solid case back with engravings or enamel work adds a bespoke touch, further enhancing its desirability.

Now whether the Reverso is meant only for the Ladies? Definitely NO. The Reverso is designed for both men and women. Since its introduction, it has been available in various sizes, styles, and complications to cater to a diverse audience. Jaeger-LeCoultre offers Reverso models that appeal to both genders, with options ranging from classic and minimalist designs to more elaborate and jeweled versions.

Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre stands out with its Métiers Rares Atelier, one of the few watchmaking manufacturers to house an artistic craft workshop in-house. The Reverso One Precious Flowers series exemplifies the brand’s dedication to preserving these rare handcrafts. Each of the three timepieces in this series showcases the exceptional artistry and skill of the atelier’s artisans, who collaborate meticulously over several weeks and months to create these masterpieces. BUT, these stunning, limited-edition watches, each restricted to just 10 pieces, are crafted for Unique Women who appreciate exquisite craftsmanship and timeless beauty.

Reverso one precious flowers: A growing series with three new limited edition pieces

The front side of all the three Reverso variants, showcases the brand’s iconic Reverso One dial, featuring a sleek rectangular design with black stylized Arabic numerals set against a pristine white mother-of-pearl background. Gold bracket-like corner details and hands add a touch of sophistication. This perfectly balanced and refined look seamlessly complements the intricate and elegant tropical motifs that wrap around the case sides and fully embellish the reverse side of the watch. For the first time on a Métiers Rares Reverso One, the entire background wraps around the convex case sides to frame the dial, on all the three timepieces.

Birds of Paradise

The Precious Garden collection takes a tropical turn with the Birds of Paradise, a symbol of freedom and joy. This vibrant and eye-catching design encircles the delicate mother-of-pearl dial, highlighting its exquisite beauty. The creation of the birds and foliage required 19 different colors, meticulously applied to achieve the stunning effect.

Beneath the vibrant enamel lies a layer of 24-carat gold leaf, lending texture and exceptional brilliance to the orange and golden tones. Drawing inspiration from the tropical Art Deco style of the 1920s and 1930s, this masterpiece embodies a rich, historical aesthetic. Crafting this piece involves 60 hours of enameling using the grand feu champlevé technique, and an additional 65 hours of gem setting, utilizing snow and grain-setting techniques. The result is a watch that is not only a timepiece but a work of art, celebrating the harmony of nature and craftsmanship.

Tiny pieces of 24-carat gold leaf are precisely cut to match the shape and size of the pattern to be filled.
